Early this year, report speculated that WeChat is closing their shop in Nigeria, to be operated fully in South Africa.
Right now, There is no local staff anymore in their office in Nigeria, which means another one bites the dust.Mobile App WeChat is the next substitutes for WhatsApp.
WeChat is a mobile text and voice messaging communication service developed by Tencent in China, first released in January 2011. WeChat in Africa is being managed by Naspers as it is one of the investors in Tencent.
