One of the biggest and prestigious musical award in African continent MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) “Evolution” award #MAMAEvolution has released the list of nominees for this year edition MAMA Evolution award.
Making the list are 4 biggest and most influential music star in Nigeria such as D’banj, 2face, Asa and P-Square were all nominated alongside their African stars such as Anselmo Ralph (Angola), Black Coffee (South Africa), Chameleone (Uganda), Fally Ipupa (DRC), HHP (South Africa), and Samini (Ghana) .
MTV Base Channel Director, Tim Horwood said: “The MAMA “Evolution” award honours established artistes who have made an indelible mark on African and global music culture, taken African music to new territories around the world, pushed the boundaries of creativity, and shaped the soundscape of contemporary Africa.”
Music fans around the African continent and MTV Base will decide the winner of this category. Fans of the iconic Nigerians nominated can vote for them on Twitter or Instagram using the hash tags – #Evolution2Face, #EvolutionPSquare, #EvolutionAsa or #EvolutionDBanj.
The award will be presented at the 2015 MAMAs in South Africa on Saturday, 18 July. The ceremony will be broadcast live that day on MTV Base (DStv channel 322), MTV (DStv channel 130) and BET (DStv channel 129).
