Gradually Africans musician are getting the recognition they deserve from international communities. This year Black Entertainment Television is changing the game, because this is first time in history BET, that African stars will performed on stage.
On Sunday 29th June 2014, this year edition of BET Awards 2014, will take place at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. Ace comedian/Actor Chris Rock will host the award ceremony.
Nigeria female Afro pop singer Tiwa Savage, South African pop duo Mafikizolo, and as well as Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, will be performing live on stage for this years edition of “Music Around the Globe” presentation on Saturday 28th June 2014.
The likes of Mafikizolo,Tiwa Savage and Sarkodie were all nominated in ”Best International Act: Africa” category. According to the representatives, this will be the first time pop star Tiwa Savage and South African Duo Mafikizolo, will be performing in the US.
Winner of BET 2013 ”Best International Act: Africa” category, Ice Prince Zamani, will presenter the award to the winner and he will also performed on stage that day.
Internationals star performing on stage includes the likes of John Legend,Nicki Minaj, Jhene Aiko, Mary J. Blige, Trey Songz August Alsina, K. Michelle, Mack Wilds, and Jennifer Hudson.
