The executive governor of Oyo-State Senator Abiola Ajimobi, early hours of today was a guest on popular Edmund Obilo’s ” Voices ” programme on Splash FM Ibadan, where he discussed about the state of the station issues from economy situation of the state and the unfolding political situation in Oyo State.
During the over 40 minutes chat with Edmund Obilo, Gov Abiola Ajimobi disclosed that Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in 2015, Engr Seyi Makinde will the All Progressive Congress (APC) very soon.
Although the moving train has started with former governor of the state and Labour Party governorship candidate in 2015, Otunba Alao Akala , who defected from the Labour Party to APC about few weeks ago.
Gov Abiola Ajimobi, furthers says that :
This APC is a movement, it’s not about individuals. It is about philosophy … Even if Ladoja wants to come, let him come.
Just yesterday, former governor of Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo defected to the APC. With the many defections to the APC, has the party become another PDP?
Are the defections good for Nigeria’s political system? Is this all about power and relevance?
I think we need a strong opposition, but with a party like the PDP, I wonder if they have the structure to be the kind of opposition that Nigeria need.
