According to report published by Nigerian Tribune, reported that Oyo-State government has seal off the Dugbe branch of Shoprite Shopping Mall over tax evasion.
The report further say that, For almost three hours, the state government revenue staff were engaged by officials of Shoprite before the final decision to lock up the entrance to the store.
All plea by the Shoprite Back Manager, Olugbenga Adebayo, yielded no influence to the determined officers of the Oyo state internal board of revenue who were not convinced on his explanation.
They eventually locked down the Shoprite outlet when its management could not provide evidence of payment.
